VISUAL BRAND IDENTITY

Brand visual identity is a strategic and integrated system that translates a brand’s personality, values, and positioning into a powerful visual language. It goes far beyond a logo or color selection; it is a cohesive framework of logo design, typography, color palette, graphic structure, visual style, iconography, and design guidelines that creates a consistent and recognizable experience across all brand touchpoints. A strong visual identity ensures that a brand is not only seen, but remembered—building trust and establishing meaningful differentiation in a competitive market.

Professional visual identity design is built on in-depth brand analysis, a clear understanding of the target audience, and careful evaluation of competitive positioning. Each element is strategically defined to maintain full consistency across all platforms (from print and packaging to websites, social media, and environmental spaces).

In designing visual identities, I follow an analytical and concept-driven approach. I begin with a thorough brand assessment and then develop a cohesive, scalable, and standards-based visual system that is not only refined and professional, but also maintains quality, consistency, and brand strength across every execution.

Project: Full visual brand identity design

Date: 2024- Now

Designer : Melika Motallebi

Executed at: Darketen Agency

Designer’s Note:

“The logo design is directly inspired by the floral and geometric patterns of the tilework at the Jameh Mosque of Yazd, Iran. The intricate rosette-like patterns, created from the precise intersections of circles and repeated floral motifs in the mosque’s architecture, form the foundation of the brand’s visual identity.”

Full visual brand identity design

Designer : Melika Motallebi

Executed at: Darketen Agency

Designer’s Note:

“In the Barchelli project, I was involved from the very beginning, including the brand naming stage, and actively participated in designing the brand’s visual identity. Along with my team at Darketen Advertising Agency, I served as the brand’s advertising consultant throughout all phases of the project. We collaborated on product photography and videography, website design, and the production of visual content for print, online platforms, and social media, ensuring that all visual elements were fully aligned with the brand’s identity. Additionally, for events in the interior design sector where the brand was present, we were responsible for the complete design and visual coverage of these events.”

Esalat Kourosh

Nostalgia Sandwich

Project: Full visual brand identity design

Date: 2022 – Now

Designer: Melika Motallebi

Designer’s Note:

The visual identity of this brand has been designed to fully reflect the nostalgic spirit of Iran in the 1980s (the 1360s) and the warm, intimate atmosphere of classic sandwich shops from that era. From the logo and typography to the color palette and graphic elements, every component has been carefully selected to convey a sense of memory, authenticity, and cultural familiarity.

At the same time, this visual system has been structured in a cohesive and functional way to align with the urban context and the contemporary needs of the city of Yazd.
